I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and campaigner.
I have held managerial positions at Griffith University and Queensland Baptists and am currently Queensland and Northern Territory Director of the Australian Christian Lobby. For 8 years I was Executive Producer of the Lord Mayor’s Carols in Brisbane. In 2012 I co-authored a book THE GREENS Policies, Reality and Consequences published by ConnorCourt. I have published 4 books for children.
I believe we have a God-given responsibility to advocate for the interest and wellbeing of children. Because of that, I commenced a campaign calling for outdoor advertising to be G rated.
I believe we have a God-given responsibility to care for those in need. Because of that, I am a Director and Board Member of Samaritans Purse Australia. I have had the opportunity to travel to countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh and Cambodia to oversee projects which seek to rescue women and children from sex slavery and to work on literacy projects amongst rural women.
My husband Peter Francis is Principal of Malyon College in Brisbane. We have been married for 42 years and have 3 married children and 10 grandchildren. My family is my greatest earthly treasure.
